Due to the current situations, most big events for the year have officially been cancelled. And one of the most affected businesses due to these cancellations is, Catering.
Jimson Caterers is a catering business that had begun serving the good food in the year 2000. The name is a combination of the owners sons, Jimmy and Jason. The proprietor being Mr. Hillary Cota.
As years went by, the business is handled mostly by his elder son Jimmy along with his wife Cheryl, but the proprietor remains the same. With the thought of serving good food to people in the comfort of their own homes, they recently started their very own takeaways. With some items on the catering menu, while most are new to their customers eyes.
Above is the Menu for their takeaways, and I can vouch on each and every item right from the starters to the bowl licking desserts. Let’s start with the Lebanese Beef Wrap, this wrap has a blend of flavors that are complex yet simple, and will take your taste buds on a trip straight to Lebanon. And move on to the Greek Chicken Wrap. With Gherkins and Tzatziki sauce, this wrap is so refreshing and full of flavor, it blew my mind. Like they said it, “You can’t smell a hug, and neither can you smell love. But the love and warmth that you get from this bread pudding, spreads its aroma everywhere among the one’s you really love” and I can totally agree with them! A warm bread pudding with some Vanilla icecream on a gloomy day is really all you could possibly ever want! As the saying goes, when you’re downie, eat a brownie. This walnut brownie is just enough to satisfy your sweet tooth cravings, while one is just not enough, they came in a portion of 8.
Well, because the business has just started, I’m afraid that’s all I have for now. But its definitely worth a try, order yours now!
Due to the Pandemic, cousins from all over the world had begun coming to Goa on the last few flights. And keeping them entertained would be my job, more like keeping their tummies entertained.
Right from Momo’s, with an absolute variety of steamed, fried, and Manchurian Momo’s.
To Lasagna that was wiped clean from the trays, and made a place on everyone’s social media handle.
To this absolutely delicious cream of chicken soup my mother made😍To chunky, extra chocolatey cookies, that went extinct on the cooling rack itself. And how could any food trail be complete without making Pizza?
We’re all in this Pandemic together, but by God’s grace, it’s a green zone here. A few ways to get ingredients for yourself without having to step out would be ordering them on Swiggy and Zomato. Don’t forget to sanitize all parcels and wash your hands on receiving them!
Few ways to prevent the spread of CoronaVirus: 1. Stay at home. 2. Maintain social distance of atleast 1 meter. 3. Wash your hands as soon as you come in contact with something outside the house. 4. Don’t touch your face before washing your hands. 5. Do steam inhalation so that if the virus has entered your body, it can die. 6. If found with any of the symptoms, get yourself checked as soon as possible. 7. Stay away from the elderly and sick. 8. If you have a travelling history, make sure you are self quarantined for 14 days atleast.
Stay Home, Stay Safe, Stay Blessed. Don’t forget to spread love and Joy❤
Due to the rapid spread of the fatal disease, CoronaVirus, the whole of India is on a complete lockdown till the 14th of April, while most people hoarded groceries on the date of declaration, some people continue to be living on whatever they can find, well I’m happy yet sad to say that my conditions are not the same, I feel like I’ve been eating better food during quarantine than I’ve been eating before. Everyone is at home, and boredom strikes very easily, and what better way to kill boredom than to cook food and eat it yourself.
It began with experimenting with flavors and textures, the first experiment was the Lime pie. Lime by far is my favorite flavor to be incorporated into deserts, tangy food is what I live for!And then to keep up with the yet ongoing trend, the korean famous, Dalgona coffee, which is simply whipped coffee over iced milk.
What’s the best drink to have during the hot summers in Goa? Urrak! Urrak is also referred to as Jungle juice. It is the cousin of the well known, Cashew feni. This salad was made with all organic vegetables, and this would also be a meat lover’s favorite as it had chicken in the form of hotdogs, pork in the form of crunchy bacon, and salt-fried prawns. Banoffee pie is my almost signature dessert. And getting bananas to make it, was truly a blessing. And this my friends, was the closest I could get my hands on street food. To top it all of, we made veg pasta due to the abstinence from meat on Good Friday.
Despite all shortages, I would like to Thank the Almighty God for all that he’s given me.
Goa is a state in western India, with coastlines stretching along the Arabian Sea. It’s long history as a portuguese colony prior to 1961 is evident in its preserves 17th century churches and the area’s tropical spice plantations. Goa is also known for its beaches, ranging from popular stretches at Baga and Palolem to those in laid-back fishing villages such as Agonda.
Goa also happens to be a home to many friendly, loving, susegaad locals like me. And to us, our cuisine is the best! No matter how much you speak about Goa, words always fall short. A small description of Goa could be made through a famous Konkani song, ‘Kitlem Sobit Goa Amchem’, or another that’s ‘Bangarachem Goa’.
Goan cuisine consists of regional foods popular in Goa, an Indian state located along India’s west coast on the shore of the Arabian Sea. Rice, seafood, coconut, vegetables, meat, pork and local spices are some of the main ingredients in Goan cuisine. The area is located in a tropical climate, which means that spices and flavors are intense. Use of kokum is another distinct feature. Goan food is considered incomplete without fish. The cuisine of Goa originated from its Hindu Saraswat Cuisine roots, and was influenced by the 451 years of Portuguese colonization and the century of Muslim rule that preceded the Portuguese. Many Catholic dishes are either similar to or variants of their Portuguese counterparts in both naming or their use of ingredients.
On the first day of our Industrial Visit to Bangalore, we visited Orion Mall, and trust me, I had a ball of a time. My only wish would be, that our retail therapy be covered by our health insurance too!
Strawberries and Creme, 5/5. As usual, I went to Starbucks and ordered my Strawberries and Creme, and the guy who served me drew a smiley on my cup because he liked my smile! New York Cheesecake, 5/5 And what is Senalda without her cheesecake? Practically speaking, incomplete! The consistency is absolutely wonderful! Wild Naked Chicken Taco’s meal, 5/5 The best part of that visit I can bet were the Taco’s! So basically, we wanted to eat something that is not available in Goa! And what better option than Taco’s?Malted Chocolate Fudge, 4.5/5 This may have been Baskin Robbins, but it just wasn’t as average! Where in Goa do they give you these cones for a single scoop, and actually ask if we want a topping? My only complaint is that they didn’t have the chocolate waffle cone☹
Anyways, we’re happy, our Tummy’s are happy! And I honestly wish I could spend more time there!
